Responsibilities
Document and analyze skills associated with the top priority occupations identified through labor market research
Review existing courses to assess and map skills currently developed by students against the skills required for high-demand occupations
Conduct curriculum and content reviews to identify alignment, gaps, and overlaps between course outcomes and market-driven skill requirements
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including academic leaders, SMEs, and project managers, to validate skills frameworks and findings
Develop clear documentation, matrices, and summaries that articulate skill alignment and recommendations
Apply instructional design principles to evaluate learning objectives, assessments, and learning activities for skills coverage and rigor
Ensure consistency, accuracy, and clarity in skills documentation and reporting
Stay informed on workforce trends, skills taxonomies, and best practices in skills-based education and curriculum mapping
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field
6+ years of experience in instructional design, curriculum analysis, or content lifecycle projects within higher education or publishing environments
Demonstrated experience reviewing and evaluating existing courses or curricula (not limited to course creation)
Strong understanding of instructional design principles, learning objectives, and assessment alignment
Excellent analytical, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills
Ability to work independently while managing detailed, structured review work in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights
Preferred
Master's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field
Experience working with skills frameworks, competency models, or workforce-aligned curriculum mapping is highly desirable
