Responsibilities
Assist in correcting and reprocessing defective batches
Create and match color shades as required
Ensure accurate maintenance and calibration of laboratory measuring instruments
Complete general administrative and documentation tasks related to lab operations
Initiate and review technical data sheets
Initiate, track, and follow up on EHS-related actions to maintain compliance
Maintain adherence to all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols
Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to perform tasks outside the defined responsibilities when needed to support the company’s mission and goals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field
Minimum two years of experience in the paint or coatings industry
Strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with internal and external stakeholders
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure while maintaining a positive, customer-focused attitude
Ability to safely perform essential job functions in compliance with ADA, FMLA, and applicable safety standards
Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance in accordance with company and regulatory standards
Frequent walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting
Exposure to fumes and hazardous chemicals—proper PPE will be required
Must be able to wear a respirator and successfully complete annual fit testing
Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per day
Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and over the phone
Preferred
Experience with SAP software
