Responsibilities

Ensure and continuously improve Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) standards and adoption
Lead SDLC education, training, and enablement across IT and business delivery participants
Improve communication and alignment between IT delivery teams and business sponsors to enable predictable, repeatable execution
Support portfolio intake, prioritization, and sequencing based on capacity, risk, and business value
Enable disciplined vendor engagement aligned to SBH governance and delivery expectations
Audit IT projects for adherence to SBH SDLC standards across scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and phase readiness
Identify systemic SDLC gaps, friction points, and adoption challenges; partner with PMO and IT leadership to evolve and improve SDLC standards
Reinforce consistent expectations for project setup, phase transitions, governance approvals, and closure
Ensure SDLC standards are practical, scalable, and aligned to real delivery needs—not just compliance
Design, deliver, and continuously improve SDLC training and enablement for IT teams, business sponsors, and delivery partners
Develop and maintain SDLC playbooks, templates, guidance, and learning assets
Coach teams and sponsors on how to apply SDLC standards effectively based on project complexity and risk
Measure training effectiveness and adoption, adjusting content and approach to improve execution outcomes
Provide portfolio- and project-level insights to support IT leadership decision-making
Translate delivery data into clear, business-relevant insights that surface risks, trade-offs, and impacts
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of portfolio data used in PMO ceremonies and executive forums
Support predictable execution by ensuring delivery information is timely, transparent, and actionable
Facilitate IT PMO ceremonies and governance cadence in partnership with PMO leadership
Prepare and present concise summaries, risks, dependencies, and recommendations for leadership decision-making
Support portfolio intake, prioritization, and sequencing by providing visibility into capacity, risk, dependencies, and delivery trade-offs
Reinforce alignment between strategic priorities and delivery execution
Support portfolio-level resource demand planning and workload management
Identify trends, constraints, and optimization opportunities across the IT portfolio
Reinforce vendor engagement practices, including SDLC compliance, estimates, reporting, and milestone tracking
Partner with Vendor Management and delivery leads to improve transparency and accountability across vendor-supported initiatives
Establish and reinforce risk and issue management frameworks, including escalation criteria
Surface systemic delivery risks and partner with leaders to mitigate impacts proactively
Partner with business sponsors to define success measures and value realization indicators
Support post-implementation reviews to improve future delivery outcomes
Serve as a trusted delivery advisor and coach, guiding teams using practical, real-world delivery experience
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen predictability and delivery maturity
Help translate new ideas into scalable improvements across the PMO and IT delivery ecosystem

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Project Management, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience
Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to synthesize data across budget, timeline, scope, and resource dimensions
Demonstrated experience with SDLC governance processes and project lifecycle management
Self-motivated professional with the ability to work independently, proactively identify issues, and drive work forward in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
High proficiency with PPM and delivery tools such as Quickbase, Clarity, Planview, Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, Box, and reporting or automation platforms including Microsoft PowerApps and/or Power BI
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across a complex portfolio
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with comfort presenting to leadership
