Staff Assistant (Administrative Management Specialist)

Responsibilities
Act as inventory coordinator to ensure procedural requirements are met regarding government vehicles and government property assigned to divisional personnel
Perform a wide range of budgetary and administrative duties to assist the SAC or Director with formulation, analysis, execution and review of the division budget
Responsible for directing, managing, and administering the division acquisition program which requires comprehensive knowledge of the procurement process, agency procedures and Federal Regulations
Serve as a functional liaison to advocate the interest and negotiate on behalf of management with officials in human resources, facilities, budget, case management and security functions pertaining to the division

All newly appointed employees to the competitive (or excepted) service are subject to a probationary (or trial) period
For the GS-11, specialized experience is one year at the GS-09 level, or equivalent, that is related to the position as listed above or equivalent
Specialized experience is defined as: Receiving correspondence for the supervisor and conducting the necessary follow up to ensure actions are timely completed; AND Arranging conferences and other large meetings for the supervisor; AND Coordinating action items resulting from meeting and conferences to ensure timely completion; AND Using automated systems and databases (i.e. Microsoft Office products, SharePoint, case management system) to schedule meetings, type letters and memos, create presentations, and maintain case files for an office; AND Identifying and analyzing plans and programs for an office
For the GS-9, specialized experience is one year of experience at the GS-07 level, or equivalent, that is directly related to the position as listed above

Time-in-Grade: For the GS-11, you must have been at the GS-09 level for 52 weeks. For the GS-09, you must have been at the GS-07 level for 52 weeks
Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment
Must successfully complete a background investigation
Secret - Background Investigation will be required
Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency
You will be required to regularly report to the Duty Station listed above
If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so
Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9
Obtain and use a Government-issued charge card for business-related travel
File a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report within 30 days of appointment and annually from then on
