Co-Op: Fall 2026 - Repair Development Engineer (Onsite)

This role involves supporting Aftermarket Repair Design, engaging in engineering calculations, authoring technical data, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop cost-effective repairs.

Responsibilities

Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run August 2026 - March 2027 (including the Fall and Spring semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity)
Engineering calculations to determine part acceptability and repair options
Authoring part level and assembly level component repairs and other technical data / procedures
Participation on multidisciplinary teams to develop and produce repairs that are cost effective and support customer timelines
Support new product design reviews as the aftermarket team member and execute Engineering Standard Work
Provide field investigation, and aftermarket technical support
Significant interaction with internal and external customers as well as other engineering disciplines
This is an onsite position in North Berwick, Maine. Occasional travel may be required

Required

Enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field
Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0

Preferred

Previous engineering experience via a co-op or internship in a mechanical design, analysis, or manufacturing engineering role
Experience with manufacturing processes, aerospace design methods and procedures, and continuous improvement tools
Engineering analysis skills
Experience with MS office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Experience with CAD modeling, NX programs, and Siemens Teamcenter software
