Responsibilities
Regular attendance at work and the ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays
Perform daily onboard ship checks to document project progress
Completion of supply requisition orders
Preparation and distribution of project status reports
Collect and compile daily time and material sheets for reconciliation
Work closely with the Payroll and Accounting departments to resolve reporting discrepancies
Produce daily cumulative reports
Obtain signoffs from vessel owners and vendors
Research and analysis functions may include tracking and forecasting, project evaluation and monitoring, maintaining compliance with government regulations, and performing any data analysis relevant to project tasks
Maintain communication with suppliers
Request quotes for scope of supply
Coordinate with regulatory bodies during the construction of the vessel
Arrange virtual and in-person meetings with management, vendors, and vessel representatives
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED equivalence required
Construction experience required
Ability to read and understand construction drawings required
Basic accounting and administrative experience or similar required
Advanced Microsoft Office experience required, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively present information
Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines
Ability to rapidly obtain, sort, filter, and analyze large volumes of data
Preferred
Shipyard/vessel construction experience is desired
Knowledge of ship terminology, safety, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations is desired
