This role provides a hands-on opportunity to apply engineering principles in a real-world setting, delivering data-driven recommendations that directly improve efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities
Document current states and develop improved layout concepts to minimize travel, handling, and congestion
Identify opportunities to reduce labor waste through improved layout and point-of-use material placement
Shorten travel distances and balance work content across cells to improve labor efficiency
Improve inbound and outbound flow paths to remove material congestion and shorten lead times
Create clearer aisles and defined flow lanes to improve safety and visibility
Maximize space utilization to enable future volume growth without additional square footage
Deliver scalable, documented layouts that support onboarding and future product mix changes
Validate impacts to labor efficiency, safety, and throughput using data and visuals
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering
Proficiency with CAD software
Demonstrated comfort and proficiency with technology, including Microsoft365
Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new manufacturing processes and procedures
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders
Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
Preferred
Incoming Junior or Senior preferred
