Marketing Director
Valley Mountain Staffing is seeking an experienced marketing leader to oversee the full marketing and product go-to-market function for a rapidly expanding company. The role involves building a marketing team, driving new product launches, and developing strategies for digital acquisition and revenue growth.
Responsibilities
Build, lead, and develop a high-performing marketing and product management team (internal + agency partners)
Own end-to-end go-to-market strategy for new consumer product launches (DTC focus) including positioning, messaging, pricing, personas, and competitive differentiation
Develop and execute comprehensive brand, demand generation, and e-commerce growth strategies across B2B and B2C channels (factory-direct retail, dealer/reseller network, Shopify/Magento-based e-commerce)
Manage the full annual marketing budget — allocate spend efficiently across paid digital, content, partnerships, agencies, and other channels to hit aggressive ROI targets
Drive scalable user acquisition, conversion, and retention through paid search (Google SEM), Meta, TikTok, email marketing, and other performance channels
Continuously optimize e-commerce experience (site UX, product pages, checkout flow) to maximize conversion rate and AOV
Partner closely with product, engineering, sales, and leadership teams to ensure new product development reflects Voice of the Customer, market trends, and competitive realities
Establish and track key performance indicators (revenue growth, CAC, LTV, ROAS, conversion rate, retention, contribution margin, etc.) and report regularly to executive team
Bring data-driven rigor using tools such as Google Analytics, CRM platforms, attribution models, and BI dashboards (Tableau, Looker, etc.)
Qualification
Required
15+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience
3–5+ years specifically building and scaling direct-to-consumer (D2C / B2C) e-commerce revenue, ideally in a company that successfully expanded from B2B into consumer channels
Proven success leading multiple physical consumer product launches from concept → market
Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing marketing teams (internal hires + external agencies / contractors)
Strong track record managing multi-million-dollar marketing budgets with clear focus on ROI and efficient capital allocation
Analytical mindset — comfortable working in data (GA4, CRM, BI tools, attribution platforms) to drive decisions
Entrepreneurial mindset: resourceful, creative, bias-for-action, thrives in fast-moving environments
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related field required
Must have valid driver's license, insurable driving record, and reliable transportation
Preferred
MBA strongly preferred
Deep hands-on experience with performance marketing channels (Google Ads/SEM, Meta Ads, TikTok, email) and e-commerce platforms (Shopify and/or Magento preferred)
