Responsibilities
Develop and lead Google Cloud's policy and government affairs strategy for assigned regional states
Manage and coordinate a network of contract lobbyists and public affairs firms to advance proactive policy engagement
Build and maintain trusted relationships with governors’ offices, state legislators, local elected officials, state agencies, and local permitting authorities
Ensure alignment of business priorities, public policy goals, and go-to-market strategies across government affairs and Google cloud
Provide advice to executives on regional policy, ensuring alignment with Google Cloud's products and overall strategy
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
10 years of experience working in public affairs, political communications, or political campaigns, or within government
Preferred
10 years of experience in technology policy, specifically within state and local government, an enterprise software company, think tanks, public interest groups, or relevant industry associations
2 years of direct experience with or in state and local governments, particularly involving enterprise technology services or energy issues
Experience with government procurement processes
