Human Resources Manager
DreamSeat is a growing, mid-sized company entering its next phase of operational maturity. They are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to establish and manage core HR operations while serving as a partner to leadership and employees. The role requires a blend of strategic oversight and hands-on management of HR functions, ensuring compliance and fostering a positive organizational culture.

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary owner of all HR activities
Create clear HR processes, documentation, and accountability
Provide guidance and development to the HR Assistant
Act as the central point of contact for employee and leadership HR needs
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws
Maintain and update the employee handbook, policies, and procedures
Manage employee relations matters with fairness, discretion, and professionalism
Support investigations, corrective actions, and performance documentation
Reduce organizational risk while maintaining a people-first culture
Partner with leadership on hiring needs and workforce planning
Support recruiting coordination and onboarding processes
Help implement and maintain consistent performance management practices
Coach leaders through employee conversations, feedback, and development
Support employee transitions, including exits, in a compliant and respectful manner
Administer employee benefits and serve as a point of contact for questions
Coordinate with existing payroll systems and providers
Support annual compensation review processes
Ensure pay practices are consistent, fair, and well-documented
Reinforce DreamSeat’s mission, values, and behavioral expectations
Act as a trusted, neutral partner to both leadership and employees
Identify early warning signs related to morale, engagement, or performance
Support leadership during periods of growth and change
Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
Track basic HR metrics (headcount, turnover, hiring activity, compliance items)
Provide clear, practical insights to leadership as needed
Recommend improvements thoughtfully, without unnecessary complexity
Qualification
Required
5+ years of progressive HR experience
Experience supporting HR in a growing, mid-sized organization
Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
Proven ability to handle sensitive matters with maturity and discretion
Comfortable being both strategic and hands-on
Strong communication, organization, and judgment skills
Preferred
Experience building or formalizing an HR function
Background in manufacturing, operations, or project-based environments
HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) a plus, not required
