Responsibilities
Partner with leadership to align HR strategy with business priorities
Advise management on HR policies, employee relations, and organizational change
Lead workforce planning and talent strategy
Manage full-cycle recruitment and onboarding
Collaborate with leaders to ensure timely and effective hiring
Manage relationships with external recruiters and talent partners
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters
Conduct investigations and implement corrective actions
Drive employee engagement, retention, and culture initiatives
Oversee performance management, goal setting, and review cycles
Manage compensation programs ensuring pay equity and market competitiveness
Conduct salary benchmarking and recommend compensation adjustments
Oversee payroll accuracy and compliance with wage and hour laws
Administer benefits programs and address employee inquiries
Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
Manage HRIS, reporting, and people analytics
Partner with Safety and Operations on workplace health and safety
Qualification
Required
Candidates with 10 to 12 years of progressive Human Resource Experience preferable within steel, mining, heavy industry, energy or large infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of US employment laws and HR best practices
Proven ability to influence and advise senior leaders
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
Proficiency with HRIS platforms
Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Law, Business Administration, or equivalent field
Preferred
Experience supporting complex, project-driven, or multi-state US operations
