Additive Process Intern
RTX Corporation is an Aerospace and Defense company that provides advanced systems and services for commercial, military, and government customers worldwide. The Summer Process Intern will be responsible for activities related to the Additive Manufacturing Process and Capability Center, including process standardization, development of new tools, and data analysis of builds and materials.

Process standardization and documentation

Characterizing fabricated parts
Supporting the commissioning and verification of new equipment
Designing and utilizing fixtures for machine characterization equipment
Developing mathematical models and visual representations of experimental data
Data analysis of builds, parts, or material samples
Qualification
Required
Candidates must be pursuing a graduate degree in the field of Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical, Materials Engineering or related technical field and must not graduate before September 2026. Please submit a copy of your academic transcripts with your application
Scripting experience with Matlab, Python, VBA, JavaScript or similar
CAD experience with NX, Solidworks, Creo, or similar
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Preferred
Experience with Additive Manufacturing concepts or equipment
Advanced mathematics and data analysis skills with a basic understanding of statistics
Hands-on experience working with laboratory equipment
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, collaborative team environment
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
