Telecommunications Specialist
Upstate Medical University is the only academic medical center in Central New York and the region's largest employer. They are seeking a Telecommunications Specialist responsible for the daily maintenance of campus telephone equipment, cabling, and associated applications.

Responsible for the daily maintenance of the campus telephone equipment, cabling and associated applications
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree and three years of related experience to the Telecommunications industry or equivalent combination of education and experience
In depth knowledge of TIA/EIA 568 standards
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Strong background and knowledge of the standards and design of telecommunications infrastructure, pathways, telecommunications room spacing and layout, grounding, fire-stopping and cabling
Working knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office and Visio or AutoCAD computer software
Project cost estimation and budgeting skills
