Business Data Analytics Specialist
The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife is seeking a talented Business Data Analytics Specialist to join their Division of Licensing and Registration. In this role, you will oversee and maintain the Department’s deer and moose lottery database system, collaborating with MaineIT to resolve system issues and implement enhancements while managing data collection and reporting.

Responsibilities
Learn and maintain expertise in deer and moose lottery databases and permit systems
Assist with updates, testing, and validation of the permit purchase and lottery application processes
Monitor system performance and key dates for lottery drawings and permit sales
Generate reports and provide data exports to internal and external stakeholders
Analyze agency operations, user needs, and service delivery to develop and implement process improvements
Identify opportunities to increase operational efficiency and enhance customer experience
Support project management tasks, including collecting data, maintaining schedules, and monitoring budgets and resources
Recommend and implement changes to agency operations, provider services, internal policies, and organizational structures to optimize efficiency and effectiveness
Qualification
Required
A six (6) year combination of education, training, and/or professional experience in project management, systems analysis, business analysis, program specialty, or related field
Preferred
Experience with database management
Knowledge of relational database design
