Responsibilities

Perform yeast and phage display based biologics discovery screens to support therapeutic programs
Execute display-based lead optimization, including display library building, QC, and screening
Contribute to design and building of novel display libraries
Routinely use NGS, including NGS library generation, QC, sequencing and data analysis, for hit selection
Maintain accurate data and experimental records
Prepare presentations to effectively communicate experimental results in team meetings
Collaborate across different functional areas within Discovery Biologics and with key stakeholders in other departments
Stay abreast of external advancements in the relevant scientific fields
Promote the external reputation of our company’s Discovery Biologics

Qualification

Required

PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Bioengineering, Biophysics, Protein Sciences, Pharmaceutics, or a related life sciences discipline with 0-3 years of experience or MS with >5 years of industry experience
Expertise in using display-based screening methods
Expertise in molecular biology and high throughput laboratory methodologies
Strong presentation and publication record
Deep expertise in both phage and yeast display
Hands on experience in antibody or other molecular display technologies
Expertise in NGS technology, including NGS libraries generation, QC, sequencing and sequence analysis
Strong technical knowledge of molecular biology
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Stay abreast of external advancements in the relevant scientific fields
Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred

Hands on expertise in display library design and generation
Knowledge of computational and structure-guided approaches in display library design
Knowledge of antibody discovery technologies beyond display
Hands on expertise in using laboratory automation
