Responsibilities

Supervise and manage program staff, including assignments, workloads, schedules, and back-up support as needed
Provide oversight of program participants, onsite program operations, and workspace
Assist with program budgets, grant applications, and fiscal documentation
Process and oversee vouchers, timesheets, paperwork, and reports accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with agency and funder requirements
Establish, maintain, and market relationships with schools, training providers, community organizations, referral sources, employers, and work experience sites
Conduct ongoing recruitment to meet enrollment targets and maintain relationships with eligible participants
Assist in the development and implementation of program curriculum and required elements in compliance with funder requirements
Serve as the primary point of contact for program inquiries and coordinate referral and enrollment activities
Create and maintain participant records, Individual Opportunity Plans (IOPs), and case notes
Communicate with funders to submit required documents and reports and remain current on applicable labor laws and local job market trends
Provide or support program services as needed, including assessments, curriculum delivery, case management, career development, community service projects, transportation coordination, and referrals to supportive services
Attend required meetings and trainings and perform other duties as assigned

Required

Minimum one year of experience in employment services, job placement, job coaching, or related field
Ability to work effectively and sensitively with young adults and low-income populations
Strong ability to work independently with self-direction and collaboratively as part of a team
Demonstrated time management, organizational, and supervisory skills, including the ability to manage a program budget
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including group facilitation, public speaking, and presentations
Ability to recruit, collaborate, and build partnerships through multiple methods, including phone, internet, social media, and in-person outreach
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to set goals, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines
Professional ability to represent the agency with employers and community partners
Knowledge of local employers, community resources, and training opportunities
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, internet, virtual meeting platforms, texting, and social media
Willingness to comply with agency and funder performance standards
Must have valid driver's license, reliable transportation, clearance to drive agency vehicles and maintain required auto insurance
Must successfully pass complete Criminal Background check and submit to required pre-employment and other drug screening as per agency and/or funder policy
Must be able to work a flexible schedule to accommodate participant availability and meet the needs of the program
Frequently in a stationary position for several hours a day
Frequent sitting, standing, reaching with occasional walking on hard or uneven surfaces at training locations or work sites
Occasionally lifting and carrying 40 lbs. of supplies or equipment

Preferred

Associate degree in social services, human resources, or related field preferred; high school diploma with extensive employment and training experience considered
Experience with at-risk youth or young adults preferred
