Responsibilities
Supplier Management: Strengthen relationships with current suppliers. Discover, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers
Cost Management: Maintain system costs at high level of accuracy. Identify cost savings opportunities with an eye toward quality and delivery performance
Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms while maintaining WRMG requirements for cost, quality, delivery and service
Market Analysis: Requires an awareness of market trends, commodity and material prices, and global developments – leading to informed decisions
Quality: Collaborate with suppliers, engineering, and quality team to ensure materials and components meet WRMG quality standards
Reporting: Prepare reports on sourcing activities, supplier performance, commodities, and market conditions for management review
Problem Resolution: Resolve issues related to supply chain disruptions, supplier performance or material quality

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree
1-4 years of experience related to material management, sourcing and purchasing activities
Strong attention to detail and high standards for personal performance
Proficiently uses Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel for data analysis
Experience using ERP/procurement systems (AS400, SAP, Oracle, Epicor or similar)
Confident and professional communication style for supplier negotiations
Strong problem-solving skills and a sense of urgency for results
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree relevant to material management, purchasing activities preferred (if applicable)
