Employee Benefits Account Manager

Colonial Life is a growing Employee Benefits agency, and they are seeking a driven and relationship-focused Employee Benefits Account Manager to join their team. In this role, you will manage client relationships while supporting business development efforts through new client acquisition and account expansion.

Responsibilities

Build, manage, and strengthen long-term client relationships by providing expert guidance on employee benefits solutions
Drive business development and revenue growth through outside sales, networking, referrals, and proactive outreach
Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts by introducing new benefit offerings and value-added solutions
Negotiate benefit plan designs, pricing, and service agreements in alignment with client goals and company standards
Support clients with benefits administration, including enrollments, claims assistance, renewals, and ongoing account servicing
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, including HIPAA and other benefits-related requirements
Deliver professional presentations and educational materials to employers and employees on available benefits products
Analyze client data to recommend plan optimization, cost-saving strategies, and enhanced coverage options
Collaborate on marketing and telemarketing initiatives to generate leads and promote benefits solutions
Maintain accurate sales, client, and compliance documentation

Required

Proven experience in outside sales, insurance sales, or business development, with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets
Life and Health Insurance license required
Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Experience or familiarity with employee benefits administration and insurance products
Knowledge of compliance standards (including HIPAA) and customer service best practices
Analytical skills to interpret data and deliver strategic recommendations
Experience with sales administration, marketing initiatives, or lead-generation activities
Ability to work independently while managing multiple client accounts effectively

Preferred

Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a strong plus
Spanish (Preferred)
Life Insurance License (Preferred)
