5+ years expTAVO Packaging is seeking an experienced Controller to lead all accounting, financial reporting, and compliance activities for our growing manufacturing operation. This role is a key member of our leadership team and plays a critical part in driving financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and strategic decision‑making.

Responsibilities
Lead the annual operating budget process and machine hour rate forecasting
Manage all financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual)
Analyze raw materials, labor, and overhead costs to identify savings opportunities
Support capital project planning and financial execution
Oversee billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and credit limits
Manage tax compliance, including payroll and corporate filings (Paycom)
Lead annual physical inventory and cycle counting activities (Epicor)
Administer the 401(k) plan, including annual audits
Coordinate business insurance renewals and audits
Ensure full compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and financial regulations
Partner with outside financial entities for audits, banking, and reporting
Provide leadership, coaching, and development to the Accounting team
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of experience in manufacturing (non‑durable goods or packaging preferred)
Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger, AP/AR, and tax processes
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, modeling, XLOOKUP, etc.)
ERP experience; Epicor preferred
Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills
Ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the organization
Preferred
5+ years of experience in manufacturing (non‑durable goods or packaging preferred)
