Senior LevelAccruePartners is seeking a Senior Data & AI Engineer to join their newly formed AI Center of Excellence within a large organization in the transportation and industrial services sector. This role will lead AI initiatives, gather requirements from stakeholders, and design solutions to optimize operations and drive automation.

Responsibilities
Own AI initiatives from concept through delivery
Gather requirements directly from business stakeholders and ask clarifying questions
Design and build AI agents and automation-focused solutions
Write production-quality code across multiple contexts (Python, APIs, data workflows)
Integrate AI solutions with enterprise applications using REST APIs
Perform data manipulation and validation as needed to support AI use cases
Document solutions and support production readiness
Operate as a versatile, “jack-of-all-trades” contributor who can adapt across technical and business needs
Qualification
Required
Strong coding skills (Python and general software/data engineering fundamentals)
Experience integrating with enterprise applications
Comfort working with REST APIs
Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders
Outgoing, collaborative style with confidence engaging business users
Ownership mindset and ability to lead initiatives independently
Preferred
Experience building AI agents preferred but not required
Cloud experience (Azure or similar) is a plus, but not mandatory
No requirement for a traditional data science background
