Responsibilities
Supporting and maintaining DEED’s middleware systems, cloud environments, and applications to ensure high availability and optimal performance
Monitoring system health
Troubleshooting complex issues
Implementing configuration changes to meet evolving business and technical needs
Installing and updating applications
Managing middleware components
Managing cloud automation processes
Collaborating with architects and developers for coordinating production builds and deployments
Providing primary support for a designated set of applications
Serving as a backup for other team members through cross-training
Rotating on-call weekend/night support
Qualification
Required
Minimum of four (4) years of IT related experience in Windows/Linux server administration in virtual environment in the cloud
Experience with network and firewall configuration and maintenance
Experience with AWS/Azure Cloud administration
Knowledge of scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash
Knowledge of automation and configuration tools like Terraform, Ansible and PowerShell DSC
Windows and Linux server administration
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a manner that facilitates mutual understanding
Customer-focused approach grounded in active listening, empathy, and solution-oriented problem-solving to deliver positive user experiences
Preferred
Experience creating Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) Pipelines with GitHub Actions
Experience with source control systems like Git and/or Azure DevOps
IIS and WebSphere administration
Knowledge of programming languages like Java, .NET
Experience with cloud based web application firewalls (WAF) and load balancing
Experience with Markdown for creating and maintaining service/configuration documentation
