Part-Time Staff Accountant
Marine Corps Heritage Foundation is seeking a highly organized and motivated Part-Time Staff Accountant to support the financial operations of their nonprofit organization. This role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, particularly in accounts receivable processing and monthly bank reconciliations.

Responsibilities
Record daily deposits and incoming payments in the accounting system
Maintain organized documentation for grants, donations, and earned revenue
Reconcile donation platform reports (e.g., online giving tools, merchant services) to accounting records
Complete monthly bank reconciliations for all organizational accounts
Investigate and resolve reconciling items promptly
Ensure all transactions are properly recorded and supported
Assist with month-end closing entries as assigned
Maintain orderly financial files and documentation
Assist with annual financial audit as directed
Support the Finance/Accounting team with occasional special projects
Uphold internal controls and support compliance with nonprofit financial best practices
Qualification
Required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
3+ years of accounting experience, nonprofit experience a plus
Strong knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting procedures
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part‑time schedule
Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred
Proficiency with Sage Intacct preferred
