The Prepress Operator will perform all prepress functions to ensure optimal print reproduction, including file manipulation, inspection, and adherence to print specifications.

Packaging Services

Responsibilities

File inception / preflighting / troubleshooting
Perform file and image manipulation to optimize print process while preserving original file content
Perform file trapping, assign line screens, screen angles, dot shapes
File RIP including inspection and QC
Ensure all CPs print specifications are met
Must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, ESKO Automation Engine, Packedge, Plato
Complies with all general Company-wide standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and any job or department specific SOP’s
Must work within productivity standards and completes work in a timely manner
Special Projects & other duties as necessary

Required

High school diploma or GED required
3-5 years' experience working as prepress operator
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent time management skills

Must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, ESKO Automation Engine, Packedge, Plato
