Engineering Technician
Akkodis is seeking an Engineering Technician for a 6+ months contract. The role involves inspecting, repairing, and overhauling safety components and ensuring compliance with safety standards while maintaining accurate documentation and a clean work environment.
Responsibilities
Inspect, repair, and overhaul safety components such as fire suppression systems, fire extinguishers, oxygen masks, and cylinder/regulator assemblies
Operate test equipment (pressure gauges) to ensure compliance with safety standards
Perform welding and assembly tasks following detailed instructions and specifications
Complete accurate documentation and maintain compliance with FAA regulations
Troubleshoot mechanical issues using manuals and provided training
Maintain a clean, safe work environment and report any safety concerns
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED required
Willingness to learn - Well train you on specialized processes and equipment
Hands-on mindset - Comfortable working with tools and getting involved in technical tasks
Attention to detail - Accuracy matters in a regulated industry
Dependability - Ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines, work overtime and weekends as required by business needs
Team player - Works well with others in a collaborative environment
Preferred
Experience with hand tools or mechanical work
Familiarity with welding or assembly tasks
Ability to read and follow technical instructions
Previous experience in regulated industries (manufacturing, automotive, aviation, aerospace, pharmaceutical) is a plus
