MT Transcend OTC – Finance Manager BU EP&N

Responsibilities
Act as the key Finance point of contact, (POC), for your Business Unit and ensure standardized and efficient roll-out of all Finance requirements within your respective BU
Proactive participation in Solution Confirmation including design localisation, understanding, interpreting and cascading of the OTC Global Template ensuring all Finance localisation requirements, (statutory, legal etc), are documented and brought to life via design, testing, deployment and hyper-care
Bridge to local Finance from the Program during critical phases of solution confirmation, design, business adoption, go-live and hyper-care supporting through the first month-end / quarter-end closes
Develop, maintain and evolve understanding of Global Finance priorities to ensure alignment and standardization
May be requested to assist with other areas within the Transcend Finance remit
You will be the principal point of contact and support for your Business Unit, (EP&N), throughout the Nth America OTC deployment
You’ll represent your BU during the confirmation of the Global Template and any identified localisation, the deployment, and the hyper-care phases of the Transcend ERP roll-out of Finance workflows and process solutions; Operating as the key contact for designated business & functional partners within your Business Unit; Demonstrating a strong combination of business understanding & willingness to be hands-on in all aspects of the Finance deployment for your remit, leading your Business Unit through business adoption, and supporting with training in any new Ways of Working (WoW)
You will proactively navigate across all functions within your Business Unit team to understand E2E processes being designed & deployed. As Finance 'has a leg' in every business process, E2E comprehension is critical with a view to 'joining the dots', documenting any change impacts, training impacts etc and deploying new processes
In collaboration with the ~ 5 x Process Release Leads, (Revenue, Inventory, Capital Equipment, A2R & Intercompany), you will be responsible for comprehensive understanding of the Global Template design and help identify critical Finance legal localisations which need to be incorporated as part of Finance system design to ensure go-live operational compliance
You will deploy your Business Unit knowledge of best practice and risk management into process and system design
You will ensure standardization of Transcend ERP roll-out across your Business Unit within the North America Finance framework & policy
You will identify, document, and prioritize Finance local requirements, including maintenance & updating solutions post-implementation, in conjunction with IT & wider Finance, FP&A, CFIN / SigniFi and GS organizations, as needed
Prior to migration into S4 and in collaboration with the relevant Business Unit, you will lead the $ impact assessment of any potential clean-up activities required in Legacy Systems. Note: to maintain the integrity of the S4 system, only complete, accurate and valid open transactions / balances will be migrated to S4
You will need to remain current with broad Finance developments and processes within the J&J Enterprise. You will work closely with the wider IT organisation to develop, test, refine and implement requirements on a timely basis
Qualification
Required
A minimum of a university degree or professional qualification
> 5 years' MedTech experience within a BUF / FP&A role or SC Finance
A solid understanding of MedTech Supply Chain, Deliver and Commercial Operations
Proven hands-on project delivery preferred
Technology focus or experience in implementing / supporting technology projects
Good knowledge of J&J systems with SAP knowledge is preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills, with validated ability to influence/collaborate to get desired results
Financial and factual analytical abilities including data & fact patterns
Strong written work
Excellent business partnering and communication skills - specifically the ability to communicate highly technical matters to non-specialist business partners
Strong influencing and collaboration skills
E2E process thinking with an ability to connect the dots and understand the 'So What?' (e.g. from Logistics through to financial results), incl Revenue Recognition & Inventory
Ability to anticipate implications and change-impacts while sharing these with your Business Unit

Independent and highly productive manager, capable of owning and progressing projects/processes independently whilst keeping teams informed of progress and recognizing sensitive areas/decision points which require management input
Ability to switch priorities quickly and expedite key tasks to meet business needs & manage risk in a fast-changing external environment
Understanding of J&J financials, supply chains and pricing principles
Deep technical Finance knowledge
While People Management experience is not critical, must have the ability to influence and lead people in a complex environment who are not necessarily your direct reports
Excellent communication & business partnering skills including; Ability to communicate with people at all management levels incl locally, within NA and Globally
Ability to analyse data ensuring that it makes business sense
Computer literate, experience with ERP systems and Microsoft packages
Strong influencing skills
Experience with corporate accounting systems (e.g. BtB, USROTC, SAP) and proficient spreadsheet skills
Able to forge robust working relationships with all key business partners and interdependent programs
Developing and delivering program presentations for senior-level MD stakeholders
Able to understand and implement in line with project timeline with detailed plans, and tactical measures to ensure all key deliverables are aligned to the program methodology, resourced, and monitored
