Modeling Engineer
netPolarity, Inc. is seeking an experienced PHY System Modeling Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in firmware development and post-silicon validation. The role involves developing PHY architectural models, implementing training algorithms, and validating system simulations against silicon results.
Responsibilities
Develop PHY architectural and system models , preferably in SystemC (other modeling languages acceptable)
Design, implement, and validate PHY calibration, adaptation, and DDR training algorithms
Perform post-silicon bring-up, debugging, and validation
Run system-level simulations and correlate results with real silicon behavior
Engage in data collection, scripting, and in-depth analysis to support PHY optimization
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across firmware, silicon validation, and architecture
Qualification
Required
Strong firmware programming experience
System modeling expertise
Hands-on post-silicon validation
Proficiency in C, SystemC, MATLAB, Python
Experience with DDR training algorithms
Preferred
Strong PHY background, with DDR and/or SerDes experience
Proficiency in SystemVerilog is a plus
Familiarity with Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI)
Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
