Responsibilities
Lead the site's safety champion role by implementing the Global WHS Program
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and analyze safety data to implement practical solutions
Drive safety initiatives that make a real difference in associate wellbeing
Conduct thorough site audits and analyze incident trends to target improvements
Manage first aid programs and emergency response capabilities
Build partnerships with Operations leadership to integrate safety into every aspect of the business
Measure performance against WHS policies and address non-compliance issues
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
3+ years of increasing responsibilities in EHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations experience
3+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management, or 2+ years of Amazon Safety (blue badge/FTE) experience
For those that do not have an adult First Aid, CPR, AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, must obtain within 3 weeks of start date
Preferred
Distribution Center or manufacturing safety experience with mix of exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people preferred
Master's degree preferred
Experience in a fast-paced, changing/growing organization
Certified Safety Professional preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort collaborating with site leaders
Ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability
Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy
Proficient in Microsoft Office and the use of pivot tables and the development of charts and graphics
Ability to manage multiple sites/remotely
