Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and respond to assigned daily work orders
Install, repair, adjust, service, and maintain HVAC systems, including electric and pneumatic controls
Inspect HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with all applicable codes and safety regulations
Troubleshoot equipment failures and recommend effective repair or modification solutions
Maintain and calibrate related instruments, gauges, and control components
Perform light plumbing, general maintenance, painting, and patching as needed
Assign tasks to team members and ensure work is completed accurately and on time
Coach and mentor team members; share technical knowledge and best practices
Lead by example and model company values while building consensus and collaboration
Communicate clearly when explaining technical or sensitive information
Use Microsoft Office, email, and Microsoft Teams for documentation and communication
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma preferred
4–5 years of relevant HVAC and building maintenance experience
Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
Ability to meet physical demands, including standing, walking, stooping, climbing stairs, and lifting 50 lbs. or more
Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment
Willingness to approach challenges with new perspectives
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Solid math skills, including percentages, fractions, and basic financial calculations
Dependable and punctual
Strong communication and time-management skills
Excellent customer service and professionalism
Ability to work independently within established guidelines
Preferred
Additional building maintenance or trade skills
Prior supervisory or shift-lead experience
