Responsibilities
Provide hands-on architectural leadership to validate, design, document, and guide the implementation of the future-state multi-tenant M365 model
Focus primarily on Exchange Online, Identity (Entra ID), and collaboration workloads
Work closely with Platform Architecture, DevSecOps, Identity & Access Management, Security, Compliance
Validate feasibility, surface risks, and ensure architectural alignment ahead of key Investment Committee (IC) decision points
Deliver architectural blueprints and assessments, including Future-state Multi-Tenant Email Architecture Blueprint and Identity Alignment Assessment
Develop Domain & DNS Strategy for tens-of-thousands tenant scale and Migration Architecture & Runbook
Conduct risk analysis for major architectural decisions and provide technical input for program-status checkpoints
Produce clear, decision ready architectural materials and oversee architectural artifacts from partners
Qualification
Required
Deep architecture experience with Exchange Online, hybrid topologies, large scale migrations
Azure AD/Entra ID identity patterns
Cross tenant and multi tenant M365 architectures
DNS, domains, federation, and email routing in complex environments
M365 Lighthouse and tenant management automation
PowerShell / Graph API automation at enterprise scale
Prior delivery of large scale migrations (25k-100k users) in regulated environments
Experience with migration tools: Quest ODM, BitTitan, Microsoft Migration Tooling
Familiarity with regulatory isolation requirements
Multi tenant supervisory controls
DLP, sensitivity labels, Exchange transport rules
Audit and monitoring models across tenants
Ability to articulate complex architectural concepts to senior executives
Strong cross functional leadership across IAM, Security, Operations, and Program PMO
Experience producing clear, decision ready architectural materials
Future-state Multi-Tenant Email Architecture Blueprint
Identity Alignment Assessment (login identity vs. email, multiple addresses per advisor)
Domain & DNS Strategy for tens-of-thousands tenant scale
Migration Architecture & Runbook (high level)
Non-Functional Architecture Requirements (security, scalability, observability, maintainability)
Risk analysis for major architectural decisions
Technical input for program-status and update checkpoints
Updated technical assumptions and validation of Microsoft recommendations
ADRs, redlines, and technical guardrails for vendors
Oversight of architectural artifacts from partners
