Business Development Partner Manager
PSI Software is a technology leader in software solutions for optimizing energy and materials flow, aiming to expand its presence in the North American market. The Business Development & Partner Manager will focus on market growth strategies, product expansion, and customer relationship management to drive the adoption of PSI's grid and energy management solutions.
Responsibilities
Conduct competitive and market analyses to derive actionable growth strategies
Systematically identify and evaluate strategic growth opportunities
Support lead generation and identify new business opportunities
Develop and implement detailed business models and strategic plans aligned with company goals
Monitor and report on market trends, customer feedback, and strategic KPIs
Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance insights to leadership
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure operational capabilities support growth initiatives
Coordinate with product management and development to align offerings with market needs
Drive innovation by contributing ideas for new products and services
Promote standardization of products and services to increase licenses and annual recurring revenues
Ensure compliance with internal policies and strategic alignment across business units
Identify and acquire new customers in the energy sector, including electrical and gas transmission, railway networks, and distribution infrastructure
Build and manage your sales pipeline, use CRM tools efficiently, and deliver reliable forecasts
Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders—clients, consultants, partners, and industry representatives
Represent PSI at trade shows, conferences, and external events to strengthen market presence
Visit partners and clients on-site, both domestically and internationally
Drive the preparation and management of offers—fully understand customer requirements, develop tailored proposals with our service team, and coordinate all involved stakeholders
Develop creative approaches for value-based selling and position our solutions effectively in the market
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, economics, engineering, or a comparable field
10 years' experience in business development, strategic planning, or partner management in a B2B environment of complex software solutions, ideally in the energy sector
Strong understanding of market analysis, business modeling, and strategic growth planning
Strong understanding of the challenges and technologies in energy distribution and transmission—especially SCADA, IT/OT integration, IoT digitalization, and cybersecurity is a must
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
Experience in managing partnerships and driving collaborative initiatives
High level of initiative, structured working style, and strong sense of responsibility
Passion for innovation and strategic thinking
True team player who thrives in cross-functional environments
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
Basic understanding of commercial principles and licensing models
Willingness and ability to travel extensively
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Preferred
Experience in energy management and critical infrastructure environments is highly preferred
An existing network of contacts in the North American energy sector is a plus
