Responsibilities
Collaborate with System Test team members to define and execute system-wide and product-oriented test cases based on customer scenarios and workflows
Investigate customer problem reports by reproducing issues and working with Development teams on resolution
Record test results in the test management system
Document test procedures clearly and accurately
Report testing status and progress to the System Test team manager
Interface with the team manager to understand backlog priorities and upcoming projects
Provide testing assistance and consultation to Development teams as requested
Develop and maintain productive relationships with customer-facing colleagues
Comply with established FA and local R&D processes
Propose and implement continuous improvements to testing processes, coverage, and assets
Automate tests where possible to improve testing efficiency
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Software Development, or a related technical field
2+ years of experience in a relevant technical field (e.g., application engineering, hardware or software development, or testing)
Knowledge of industrial automation products and applications
Self-motivated and results-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
Ability to interface with customer-facing colleagues to understand user workflows and applications
Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable working in a global development environment
Preferred
Understanding of product development processes and full product lifecycle
Familiarity with Agile methodologies
Knowledge of test methodologies and best practices
Experience with industrial automation technologies such as OPC UA, HMI, Industrial Communication, and PROFINET
Experience with PLC programming languages such as LAD, SCL, or similar
Experience with C# or similar programming languages
Experience with Industrial Safety systems (Failsafe PLCs, PROFIsafe communication, etc.)
Familiarity with test frameworks (e.g., NUnit, MSTest) and source control tools (e.g., Git, TFS)
