Responsibilities
Coordinate with equipment manufacturers to define system requirements and performance criteria
Design control systems for electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic applications, including component selection
Develop relay logic control schematics and riser diagrams
Generate bills of material and support purchasing with component cross references or substitutions
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for motors, VFDs, and control systems
Support the panel build shop during fabrication and testing
Select and program PLCs for applicable projects
Qualification
Required
Hands on experience designing electrical control systems using relay logic
Strong schematic development experience using CAD
Working knowledge of PLCs and VFDs
Proficiency with UL 508A requirements, MTR certification preferred or ability to obtain
Understanding of industrial control panel standards
2 to 5 years of experience designing relay logic control systems
2 to 5 years of experience generating electrical schematics in CAD
Preferred
Exposure to pneumatic and hydraulic systems preferred
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred
Experience working in a UL 508 panel shop strongly preferred
PLC and HMI experience a plus
