Responsibilities

Design, implement, and support Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewall services
Configure and manage intrusion detection and prevention, content filtering, VPNs, DLP, and TLS/SSL inspection
Support complex Cisco-based switching, routing, and wireless environments
Implement and manage reverse proxies and load balancing using A10 Networks
Administer Network Access Control using Cisco ISE, FreeRADIUS, and ACLs
Implement multifactor authentication and 802.1X authentication for wired and wireless networks
Support enterprise routing protocols including EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP
Perform vulnerability assessments using Nessus, NMAP, and OS-level security tools
Conduct packet and protocol analysis using Wireshark, Opnet, Riverbed, and network taps
Manage centralized monitoring and security platforms such as Panorama and SolarWinds
Produce technical documentation including network diagrams, design documents, project plans, and user guides
Work independently, troubleshoot complex issues, and mentor junior staff
Communicate effectively with stakeholders and deliver technical presentations

Required

10+ years of CONUS experience in IT networking and network security
Associate's degree in an IT-related field
Active Palo Alto PCNSA or Palo Alto Network Security Professional certification
Active CCNA Enterprise or CCNA Security certification
5+ years with Palo Alto Networks firewalls, IDPS, VPNs, DLP, and SSL inspection
4+ years with Cisco switching, routing, and wireless
3+ years with A10 Networks (reverse proxy, load balancing)
2+ years with Network Access Control (Cisco ISE, FreeRADIUS, ACLs)

Preferred

Palo Alto PCNSE, Next-Generation Firewall Engineer, or Network Security Analyst
CCNP Enterprise or CCNP Security
Cloud-based virtual networking and security
