Juvenile Case Manager
NEOGOV is seeking candidates for the position of Juvenile Case Manager with Collin County Government. The role involves monitoring, screening, and assessing juveniles charged with class 'C' misdemeanor offenses, as well as providing diversion strategies and coordinating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Serving as Juvenile Diversion Program Coordinator by providing diversion strategies and re-directing juveniles accused of specific Class C misdemeanors
Appearing and testifying in court
Assisting with juvenile dockets by reminding juvenile and their Legally Authorized Representative(s) (LAR) of court date
Reviewing court orders with juvenile and LARs to assure the understanding of the obligations
Supervising and monitoring juveniles (May require school, home, and other places of contact in the community) on deferral for compliance and competition of deferred disposition orders
Assessing the juvenile and their LARs to identify need for resources and providing an appropriate referral including therapy, treatment, and/or job referrals
Verifying attendance and completion of assigned alcohol, drug, mental health counseling and any other court ordered programs
Coordinating with local school districts attendance officers on case management of truancy cases
Gathering and maintaining information on available services, agencies, and resources in order to educate and refer juveniles and their LARs to appropriate agencies
Interacting and maintaining professional working relationship with local school districts and law enforcement, and agencies offering and conducting program resources, and referrals
Maintaining documentation of juvenile’s progress in court database software
Responsible for monitoring legal and regulatory compliance with state and federal regulations, legislation and laws related to Juvenile diversion programs
Researching and applying for program grants
Performing other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must possess the knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, or office processes
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Social Services, Behavioral Science or related field
Must have at least (2) years of experience with a juvenile court program or a social service program for adolescents
Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Drivers License with an acceptable driving record
