Responsibilities
Develops, designs, and communicates manufacturing processes
Monitors and revises processes to help generate cost savings and improve the quality and efficiency of product/process
Participates in design reviews to improve the ability to manufacture products
Responsible for the activities related to the development of new processes including researching current and emerging technologies, evaluating process cost, quality, and performing process characterization and optimization studies using designed experiments, problem-solving and decision making tools
Identifies and solves issues or problems with equipment/process. Troubleshoots possible causes and coordinates the activities of maintenance, production and other available resources to implement cost effective solutions
Provides coordination of new process installation and process changes
Other projects/duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree
Fundamental knowledge of basic principles, theories and concepts of industry standards and practices
Experience in designing, automating, modifying, or developing facilities, testing, machines, equipment or processes used in processing or manufacturing products
Experience using SOLIDWORKS to design new tooling/processes or repair/modify existing machines/processes
Ability to identify and solve issues with processes and equipment
Experience troubleshooting possible causes and coordinating the activities of maintenance, production and other available resources to implement cost effective solutions
Experience managing capital project activity for the specification and installation of new equipment
Experience owning change management projects to drive process improvement
Experience participating in design reviews to improve the ability to manufacture products
Experience researching current and emerging technologies, evaluating process cost, quality, and performing process characterization and optimization studies using designed experiments, problem-solving and decision making tools
Ability to work in laboratory, plant and processing environments
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk and/or hear
Ability to differentiate color
Ability to work extensively at a computer screen and sit at a desk for extended periods
Ability to travel by car and/or airplane
