Quality Inspector

They are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector responsible for ensuring products meet quality standards during the assembly process, documenting findings, and resolving issues that arise during assembly.

Responsibilities
Conduct assembly line audits to verify proper equipment set-ups, availability of calibrated tools, and adherence to approved work instructions
Reinforce Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Documentation Practice (GDP) to production personnel
Review each production records (DHR) for completeness, accuracy, and legibility; ensure all records are scanned or otherwise archived per Quality System requirements
Execute product release — including completion of independent final inspections, sign-offs, and system transactions to authorize shipment of conforming assemblies
Evaluate nonconforming material, coordinate disposition activities, and document investigations/dispositions per Quality System requirements
Participate in assembly line validations by collecting objective evidence and documenting results for approval
Maintain operator training records and ensure personnel are qualified prior to performing assembly tasks
Issue quality alerts to production personnel for complaints and nonconformances to prevent recurrence
Document process deviations and in-process changes for applicable approvals
Provide Process Engineering information on work instruction and process gaps for continuous improvement
Support evaluation and documentation of rework for assemblies (including product returns) per Quality System requirements
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
1-2 years of experience in a sheet metal manufacturing environment (preferably assembly)
Blueprint reading
Use of measurement tools
Material Review Board (MRB) and Nonconformance management
Intermediate-level Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
Familiarity with Good Documentation Practices and production record review
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel
Regularly required to visually inspect parts, use computers, problem solving and troubleshooting
Must be able to read blueprints
Specific abilities include close vision, colored vision
Preferred
Broad understanding of materials, manufacturing technologies and processes preferred
Proficiency with electronic ERP systems and inspection management systems preferred
