Responsibilities
Lead DeltaV automation design, configuration, and coding for manufacturing systems
Develop and implement control strategies, modules, and phases within DeltaV
Perform hands-on DeltaV system implementation, testing, and commissioning
Support and lead automation activities through FAT, SAT, and qualification phases (IQ/OQ/PQ)
Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams (process, validation, IT, QA)
Ensure compliance with GMP, GAMP 5, and regulatory requirements
Review and approve automation design documents, code, and test scripts
Drive standardization, best practices, and continuous improvement across automation systems
Support troubleshooting efforts while maintaining primary focus on design and delivery
Qualification
Required
8+ years of automation engineering experience in pharma / life sciences
Deep hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV configuration and coding
Control modules, equipment modules, phases, batch management
Proven experience in DeltaV system design, implementation, and testing
Strong understanding of GMP-regulated environments and validation lifecycles
Experience leading or acting as Area Lead / Technical Lead for automation projects
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Automation, Electrical, Chemical, or related field) or equivalent experience
Preferred
Experience in API or bulk drug substance manufacturing environments
DeltaV Batch, S88/S95 implementation experience
Familiarity with ISA standards, OPC, and system integrations
Prior experience supporting large-scale manufacturing expansions or new builds
