Customer Service Clerk
USAJOBS is seeking a Customer Service Clerk to provide a full range of customer service activities. The role includes assisting customers, operating point of sales systems, and handling transactions and complaints.

Responsibilities
May operate a point of sales (POS) systems
Run a cash register
Receive payment and make change
Prepare end of shift report and make daily deposits
Assist in the maintenance of pertinent records and logs, relating to the customer service transactions
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation
Must successfully pass the E-verify employment verification check
You must go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9
A valid State driver's license is required to operate motor vehicles
Must have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer
Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959
May be required to pass pre-employment examinations

Specialized experience directly related to the duties described above
Qualifying experience must have been equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs

A favorable background is a requirement of this position
Preferred
Basic knowledge of business mathematics, with experience or training in cash handling, operating a POS system or cash register, and adding machine is highly desired
Must be able to become familiar with, and have an understanding of, MWR policies, orders and regulations
Six (6) months of experience or training in special order operations, with technical knowledge of services and merchandise availability is desired
