This role will lead the monthly close process and support complex technical accounting areas, ensuring GAAP compliance and enhancing internal controls in a dynamic finance organization.

Responsibilities
Lead and manage the monthly close process to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality financial results
Review financial fluctuation analyses across multiple business units
Oversee complex accounting estimates, including inventory reserves, bad debt, insurance accruals, and other high-judgment areas
Review high- and moderate-risk account reconciliations and high-value journal entries
Perform technical accounting research on complex or non-recurring matters; document conclusions and coordinate with external auditors
Manage critical areas including ASC 842 lease accounting, equity compensation, derivatives, and interest-related accounting
Lead the annual goodwill impairment process, partnering with valuation specialists and audit teams
Support acquisition accounting and post-transaction integration efforts
Oversee preparation and review of the statement of cash flows and schedules supporting external reporting
Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely, complete audit deliverables and address follow-up inquiries
Support variance and cost analysis for internal stakeholders
Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies
Champion process improvements, operational efficiency, and accounting infrastructure enhancements across the department
Assist with special projects impacting financial systems, processes, and reporting standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's preferred
CPA required
10+ years of progressive accounting experience within a large, complex organization and/or Big 4 public accounting
Public accounting experience required
3+ years of leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop teams
Proficiency with advanced Excel tools (PowerPivot, Power Query, Power BI)
Experience with large ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
Strong technical accounting expertise, analytical thinking, and the ability to communicate financial insights to senior leadership
High attention to detail, commitment to accuracy, and strong business acumen
