Compliance Coordinator

Trillium Health Resources is a Tailored Plan and Managed Care Organization (MCO) serving 46 counties across North Carolina. The Compliance Coordinator is responsible for maintaining knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Accreditation requirements and ensuring compliance through internal and external reviews.

Responsibilities

Assist in the monitoring and auditing of internal Trillium departments, contracted network provider agencies, and vendors to ensure compliance with rules, regulations, contractual requirements, and service definition requirements
Conduct quality audits in an objective, systematic, unbiased manner. Ensure quality health care determinations are being made based on contract/policies and procedures/NCQA standards, as well as federal and state laws/mandates
Conduct internal monitoring activities of departmental and functional area performance based on regulations and contractual requirements
Ensure timelines are met and documented for assigned tasks based on contract and statute requirements
Provide technical assistance on any issues related to compliance monitoring activities, answer questions, and communicate rule/regulation changes to ensure new requirements are implemented

Required

High School Diploma/GED and six (6) years of experience with behavioral health/mental health, substance abuse, developmental disabilities, and/or co-occurring disorders populations; OR
Associate's degree and four (4) years of experience with behavioral health/mental health, substance abuse, developmental disabilities, and/or co-occurring disorders populations; OR
Bachelor's degree and minimum two (2) years of experience with behavioral health/mental health, substance abuse, developmental disabilities, and/or co-occurring disorders populations; OR
Equivalent combination of education/experience
Must have a valid driver's license
Must reside within North Carolina
Must be able to travel within catchment as required

Preferred

Experience in any of the following areas would be valuable for this employee: Public speaking, mediation and/or problem resolution, group facilitation, advocacy, regulations compliance, and project management
CHC, AFHI, CFE, and fully licensed in the State of NC - LCMHC, LMFT, LCWS, LCAS, or RN
