Patent Docket Clerk
Gainor Staffing is a leading staffing firm seeking an experienced Patent Docket Clerk to join a prominent law firm. The role involves monitoring patent correspondence, maintaining prosecution data, and generating reports to support patent administration.
Responsibilities
Monitor and intake correspondence issued by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and translate it into actionable docket entries
Capture and route updates received from international patent agents to the appropriate legal professionals and support teams
Maintain and update patent prosecution data within the docketing platform to ensure time-sensitive actions are properly tracked
Coordinate recurring portfolio reviews to confirm records are current and compliant
Generate and circulate internal and client-facing reports related to patent assets and upcoming obligations
Prepare and transmit required docket data to external annuity service providers to support ongoing patent maintenance
Contribute to additional operational needs that support the broader patent administration function
Qualification
Required
4+ years of hands-on experience supporting patent docketing functions
Comfortable operating in a detail-driven, time-sensitive environment
Proficient in Outlook and Excel
Preferred
Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate
