Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries; support month-end close
Reconcile balance sheet and GL accounts; identify trends and variances
Support AP/AR processes with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
Maintain supporting schedules for key and intercompany accounts
Assist with sales tax/VAT calculations and filings under supervision
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
Analyze monthly results and explain variances to budget and prior periods
Track cash flow and support short-term cash forecasting
Assist with management reports, KPI dashboards, and executive/board reporting
Support budgeting and forecasting through data gathering and analysis
Maintain accurate financial data in accounting and ERP systems
Support system enhancements, automation, and process improvements
Reconcile ecommerce transactions and payment processing
Leverage AI and analytical tools to streamline reconciliations, reporting, and data validation
Identify inefficiencies and optimization opportunities
Maintain organized electronic records to support audit readiness
Partner with internal teams to assess financial impact of business activities
Prepare documentation for external CPA firm and tax filings
Assist with compliance documentation (e.g., PCI, AML)
Qualification
Required
2–4 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a combination
Strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals, financial principles, and GAAP
Proven analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data
Solid understanding of applicable governmental guidelines and tax regulations
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas; modeling a plus)
Experience with accounting and ERP systems (Sage Intacct a plus)
Comfortable working with large datasets to identify trends, risks, and anomalies
