Senior Research Director
Concorde Financial Group is a leader in research and technology innovation, seeking a Senior Research Director to drive the research strategy and technology development. This role is responsible for transforming research outcomes into commercial value and leading multidisciplinary research teams.
Responsibilities
Develop the company's medium- and long-term research strategy and technology development roadmap
Identify cutting-edge technologies, industry trends, and disruptive innovation opportunities
Ensure that research directions are highly aligned with the company's overall strategy and business needs
Responsible for the initiation, evaluation, prioritization, and resource allocation of research projects
Manage the research portfolio, balancing exploratory research and applied research
Ensure that research projects progress according to plan and achieve key milestones
Drive the transformation of research results into product development, business applications, or commercialization
Collaborate closely with product, engineering, business, and marketing teams
Manage technology evaluation, prototype verification, and technology transfer processes
Establish a systematic innovation management and knowledge accumulation mechanism
Responsible for patent, publication, technology asset, and research outcome management
Improve the overall research capabilities and innovation efficiency of the organization
Promote collaboration between research and product, engineering, and operations teams
Establish cooperative relationships with universities, research institutions, and innovation alliances
Represent the company in industry research collaborations and academic exchanges
Responsible for research budget, resource allocation, and research infrastructure construction
Optimize research processes, tools, and experimental environments
Ensure the compliance and quality standards of research activities
Build and lead multidisciplinary research teams
Attract, cultivate, and retain high-end research and technical talent
Foster an open, collaborative, and results-oriented research culture
Qualification
Required
Master's degree or above, Ph.D. preferred, in science, engineering, or a related field
2+ years of experience in scientific research, technology research, or R&D management
At least 5 years of experience managing large research teams or research projects
Proven track record of successfully driving the transformation of research results
Research strategy planning and technology insight capabilities
Project and project portfolio management capabilities
Cross-functional collaboration and technical leadership
Innovation management and results commercialization capabilities
Management capabilities for high-end research talent
Preferred
Experience in corporate research institutes, central research laboratories, or cutting-edge laboratories
Experience in international research collaboration or overseas research
Experience in patents, publications, or industry standard setting
Complete experience from basic research to industrialization
