Responsibilities

Executing end-to-end performance management processes, including quarterly reviews, goal alignment, and supporting leveling frameworks
Supporting managers through clear expectations, practical guidance, and day-to-day coaching
Managing frontline employee relations work with consistency, fairness, and sound judgment, escalating higher-risk matters as appropriate
Administering benefits and supporting compliance operations, ensuring accuracy and smooth execution
Supporting HR systems as a functional owner, focused on reliable execution and outcomes rather than tool maintenance
Identifying execution gaps, risks, or inefficiencies in People Ops processes and acting to resolve them within role scope
Maintaining and improving People systems so they remain simple, durable, and scalable as the company grows

Required

A strong executor who enjoys running systems and making them work day to day
Comfortable making decisions within defined ownership and seeking input when appropriate
Clear, direct, and fair with managers and employees
Experienced supporting People Ops execution in a growing organization
Supported or executed People Operations systems in a growing company, including performance management, reviews, and goal setting
Helped take at least one core People function from informal or fragmented to more structured and repeatable
Operated with day-to-day ownership of People Ops work while partnering closely with senior People leadership
Handled employee relations matters, including performance management and employee concerns, with guidance and escalation as needed
Administered benefits and supported vendor relationships with an understanding of cost, compliance, and employee experience
Worked within HRIS platforms beyond basic data entry, including workflows, reporting, and configuration support
Applied employment laws and compliance requirements pragmatically with support from senior leaders or advisors
Balanced risk thoughtfully, recognizing when to escalate and when process discipline is sufficient
Partnered with managers by providing clear guidance and reinforcing expectations without positioning as the final authority
You prioritize clarity and execution over over-documentation
You use process to create consistency, not bureaucracy
You understand risk and manage it carefully within established frameworks
You are comfortable owning outcomes within your scope and escalating intentionally
You stay ahead of work, anticipate issues, and close loops
