Student Intern
The American Academy of Diplomacy is dedicated to strengthening the resources and tools America brings to managing its diplomatic challenges. The internship offers students a unique opportunity to become an integral part of the organization’s core team, assisting with social media, event planning, and communication with Academy members.

Responsibilities
Creating materials for the Academy’s social media accounts
Event and meeting planning and implementation
Communicating with Academy members
Updating content for the Academy website
Managing contact lists
Supporting the professional staff
Creating their own project
Qualification
Required
Interest in nonprofit work, and ideally American foreign affairs/service
Previous organizational experience with social media (preferably X, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook), including experience with analytics
Detail-oriented, e.g. capable of sending out member emails without guidance, assisting during committee and Board meetings
Strong writing skills with firm command of grammar, spelling, and syntax
Ability to function independently as well as part of a team
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint)
Highly proficient in Gmail and Google Apps
Friendly and outgoing with good sense of humor
Preferred
Highly proficient in Gmail and Google Apps
Front end Wix development experience
