Accounts Payable Manager
RailPros is the premier provider of engineering and diversified safety services to America’s rail and transit industry. The Accounts Payable Manager will plan and direct all accounts payable activities of the company, ensuring timely payments and managing the AP process from invoice receipt to payment issuance.

Responsibilities
Manage AP process from invoice receipt to issuance of payment via AvidXchange and NetSuite
Oversee preparation of weekly AP aging reports
Evaluate and oversee implementation of new AP systems and/or processes as needed
Responsible for ensuring timely payments and issuing manual payments as needed
Mentor and train accounts payable associates
Establish internal controls and guidelines for accounts payable transactions
Manage annual 1099 filing process
Research and troubleshoot any invoicing or payment issues
Identify and implement areas of improvement or automation opportunities
Present recommendations to management on short- and long-term objectives and policies
Other duties as assigned or required to meet the business needs
Qualification
Required
Strong knowledge of efficient AP processes and the ability to execute process improvements when needed
Applying logical thought processes and organizing resources in order to solve issues and meet commitments
Making decisions and seizing opportunities in the context of business objectives
Partnering effectively with others in order to achieve results
Satisfying internal and external customer expectations and developing customer partnerships
Proficiency with electronic communications including e-mail and text as well as standard office applications (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite)
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration
8 years or more of related experience, including at least 2 years of management experience
Preferred
5 years or more of professional office experience, preferably within a fast-paced accounting department
5 years or more of billing experience
5 years or more experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and QuickBooks or other accounting software
Previous billing experience using multiple job codes and data assembly from multiple sources
Prior experience with AvidXchange, Expensify and/or Concur or similar systems a plus
