Responsibilities
Lead electrical engineering efforts for projects, including client coordination, pre-design services, conceptual planning, detailed design, meetings, site visits, and overall project management
Review, oversee, and approve work from junior electrical engineers prior to final issuance
Apply strong knowledge of consulting and construction practices, including plan/specification delivery, design-build projects, and construction manager roles
Analyze and resolve complex engineering challenges such as conflicting design requirements, nonstandard materials, and coordination issues
Prepare complete electrical construction documentation, including single-line diagrams, layouts, sections, elevations, details, technical specifications, contract documents, and cost estimates
Participate in contract bidding, construction administration, and on-site project management as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited four-year university
Minimum 10 years of electrical engineering experience within a design and consulting firm environment
Strong leadership and project management skills
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, and SKM/ETAP software
Preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois highly preferred
AutoCAD: 5+ years preferred
Autodesk Revit: 5+ years preferred
SKM/ETAP: preferred
