MBSE Systems Engineer
Mission Essential Group, LLC (MEG) is a premier service provider for information management solutions for complex, mission-critical needs. The MBSE Systems Engineer will create virtual models for the design and implementation of IBS MBSE infrastructure, lead the development of SysML-based models, and integrate MBSE products with engineering analyses to support the IBS program.

Responsibilities
Lead the development, maintenance, and governance of SysML-based MBSE models for satellite and ground system domains, including system architectures, behaviors, interfaces, data flows, requirements, and verification methods in support of the IBS program
Translate stakeholder and customer needs into structured system models (diagrams, viewpoints, and engineering documentation) that support technical decision-making and program execution
Implement Digital Thread / digital engineering capabilities by integrating MBSE models with systems engineering lifecycle tools and datasets (e.g., requirements, analysis outputs, technical baseline artifacts) to connect data across lifecycle activities
Operate within a federated modeling framework, including running model validation suites, verifying compliance with modeling style guides, and performing configuration management (baselines, versioning, change control)
Integrate MBSE products with engineering analyses and trade studies, leveraging modeling and analysis tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, or similar platforms to support model-driven assessments and evaluations
Lead collaborative model working groups and drive alignment across multidisciplinary engineering teams through facilitation, problem-solving, and model review coordination
Support engineering reviews and technical interchange meetings, contributing to preparation of deliverables such as trade study summaries, technical visualizations, and stakeholder-ready presentations
Deliver familiarization briefings and 'live demos' for senior stakeholders and customers, clearly communicating model intent, results, and decision impacts
Conduct operational and software testing
Qualification
Required
Security Clearance: MUST have a TS clearance with SCI Eligibility
2-5 years of MBSE experience
Ability to maintain a US Government security clearance
Bachelor's Degree or corresponding certification in engineering or related field
Preferred
Minimum 5 years of DoD systems-related engineering experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering or other relevant technical discipline
Demonstrated subject matter expertise in MBSE concepts with a minimum 2-3 years of active development experience in Cameo
Good knowledge of networking, communications, and datalinks
Must be familiar with information support plans SysML architectural diagrams/views
Must have prior experience doing technical assessments & exposure to various military-related technologies
Must be a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, can accomplish high-level tasks independently, is skilled in problem definition and works well with other team members and customers
Must have a high level of motivation, be adept at exploring and learning about new technologies, and have a demonstrated record of successfully taking ownership and responsibility for projects
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must have a demonstrated ability to coordinate with both internal and external organizations to accomplish common goals
