Head of Sales

Daybreak is committed to helping millions breathe easier at night with their custom-fit sleep apnea dental device. The Head of Sales will lead the outside medical device sales strategy, focusing on B2B2C distribution through healthcare providers and building a national field sales team.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute the national outside sales strategy aligned with company growth targets
Own revenue forecasting, quota setting, territory design, and pipeline management
Identify and prioritize high-impact provider segments and referral channels
Establish scalable sales processes, playbooks, and performance metrics
Recruit, hire, onboard, and coach high-performing field sales reps and regional managers
Create a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement
Conduct regular field rides, deal reviews, and performance coaching
Design and manage compensation plans that drive the right behaviors
Build senior-level relationships with key provider groups, IDNs, and strategic partners
Support complex or enterprise-level deals as an executive sponsor
Collaborate with Clinical and Ops teams to ensure smooth provider onboarding and success
Partner with Marketing on lead generation, messaging, and field enablement
Work with Product and Clinical teams to incorporate provider feedback into roadmap
Align with Customer Success and Operations to ensure strong post-sale outcomes
Own CRM accuracy and reporting (pipeline, conversion, CAC, LTV)
Use data to identify bottlenecks and optimize sales performance
Report regularly to executive leadership and board

Required

10+ years of sales experience, with 5+ years leading outside/field sales teams
Proven success selling medical devices into provider-based healthcare settings
Experience scaling sales teams in high-growth or early-stage companies
Strong understanding of healthcare sales cycles, reimbursement, and compliance
Track record of hitting and exceeding revenue targets
Willingness to travel frequently (30–50%)

Preferred

Sleep medicine, respiratory, or durable medical equipment (DME) experience
Experience selling into value-based care or hybrid cash-pay models
Familiarity with modern sales tech stacks (Salesforce, Outreach, etc.)
