Responsibilities
Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
Manage and review general ledger activity, journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
Lead or support the annual financial statement audit, serving as the primary point of contact for auditors
Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and applicable regulatory requirements
Oversee core accounting functions, which may include:
Review financial statements and reports for accuracy and completeness
Supervise, mentor, and delegate work to accounting staff; ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting procedures, and documentation
Partner with cross-functional teams (finance, payroll, procurement, operations) to ensure accurate financial data flow
Support basic treasury and banking activities, including cash reporting and loan-related items
Assist with system implementations, upgrades, and process improvements within ERP and accounting systems
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Proven experience in operational accounting and month-end close
Experience supporting or leading financial statement audits
Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices
Experience working in an ERP environment (e.g., Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP, NetSuite, or similar)
Ability to manage multiple priorities, delegate effectively, and meet deadlines
Strong communication and organizational skills
